Have they resolved the fitment issues? I remember reading about some rattling of the tips to the diffuser...

I hear she comes with a button you press to make her scream louder.

Oh those Slovenians!

Oh those Slovenians!

Wireless kit? Button?

Heck NO, fulltime open... go big or go home!!!

Honestly if I find it to be too loud I will add the wireless kit.

I am going to run straight mids as I did on my 135. I will have decibel readings for 6 configurations tomorrow when I do the install.

Mine is open all the time as well. The sound is perfect! Don't even think about the wireless kit.

What mid pipes are you running?

How about trying to have a conversation in the car with a passenger or on the phone? I never had an issue in the 135

I have the akra midpipes. Conversation with a passenger is no problem at all. When u get on the throttle tho, it is a bit loud - a fantastic loud tho. Probably won't be conversing then, so no problem. I'm glad I kept it loud all the time.

If I buy its probably going to be Akra with N55 mid pipes and wireless. I want to have a "sleeper" mode where I go unnoticed. Then I want the wonderful sound when the right situations or attention is wanted. The OEM exhaust is too quiet if you don't accelerate hard and that is not the best way to get attention in many situations. Meaning in suburban areas etc. So for me the combo is what do make the whole deal interesting. I would not go for any exhaust where its always loud. Not the right profile for me. Close to 40 years old and family. We all have different profiles and needs at different times in life. If you asked me the same 10 years ago I would have said loud always! ;-)

+1

'Sleeper mode' when appropriate (cops, neighbors, etc.). Don't need your radio on high volume too, no ?

Note to OP: your Slovenian mistress has a voice which is too low-pitched for a woman (except if she has a past of drinking heavy fuel and smoking like a chimney).

Installed....

Akra full time open with straight midpipes (N55 mid with resonator removed) has ZERO drone. I can not say I ever had drone before but with this set up now I have less "drone". I almost want to say at cruising speeds the cabin seems quieter now. My 135 with Borla exhaust and straight mids was MUCH louder than this (Akra completely open/straight mid) set up.

I took some readings with a decibel meter for comparison. Keep in mind the Akra has zero miles on it so it still needs to break in. I will update the "open" numbers when I get more miles on the system. I cannot update the closed numbers since the plate has been removed, BUT Maybe its safe to assume the delta on the open numbers would translate over to the closed numbers (im not sure).

N55 midpipe with a Y pipe (RESONATOR DELETE) and OEM muffler

Idle: 85.0 Max: 105.9

Midpipe form above with Akra closed system

Idle: 90.1 Max: 104.3

Midpipe above with Akra plate cut out for full time open system

Idle:92.6 Max: 109.9

Also, I dont notice any issue with alignment. I havent installed tips yet since I didnt buy the Akra tips. Once I find what I want I will comment on alignment.
