Price backup on bmw.com.au
I have just noted that the price is back up on the site. Now, you need to enter the postcode and it will work out the taxes as well.

Awesome. It was the freakin government's fault in the first place for imposing the 'you can only display driveaway prices' regulation. What was touted as a win for price transparency blatantly backfired when manufacturers totally removed prices from their online databases. Trust the ACCC to know "what's best for consumers" like us.
I'd rather have the BASE RRP without any of the taxes, dealer delivery charges, stamp duty etc. Those additional addons are very negotiable. I'd rather have a bare bones price that gives me an idea of the inherent value of the actual car I am buying without all the excess added on top. Granted, the RRP already includes GST and LCT. Anyway that's the end of my rant. Good to see BMW put in the effort to implement pricing on their site in with such an adversarial attitude from the ombudsman.

I miss the price lists they used supply with their brochures, so you could see what options were available and fiddle with the options lists for hours - as an options connoisseur, I miss that kind of fun...
