2012 128i Ordered

Moving from a MINI Cooper to a 1 series

Got it with the Convenience Package but I'd also like the auto-dimming rearview though I'm not interested in the Premium Package - any ideas?

Glad to be a member (newbie)

I'm curious if you've test driven both the 128 and 135...and why you went with the 128...thanks

Congrats on the order! I recently purchased my 128i also and I chose 128 over 135 because it saved me some money, I didn't need that much power, and I love having fog lights on a sport package. I have the premium and the sports package, and i don't think you'll need the premium just for the auto-dimming. Think that can compensated by tinted windows which would like great on the car.

I haven't test driven a 135 but I don't need the extra power and complexity of forced induction; not to mention the added expense

If they had a 4 cylinder here (in the states) I would have gotten that

Found a helpful thread plus it seems that the deealer could perform such an install (auto-dimming mirror)

That's kinda where I'm at. I think 230 hp is more than sufficient! Congrats and enjoy the ride...

I came from two Minis and I've had my 128 for three years. I am surprised you didn't go for the Sport package as the car in stock form certainly does not have the Mini's go-kart handling. Enjoy the car.
