Looks great,
If it's a weight reduction program, have you considered removing the child seat tether eyelets (torx140), and seat back latches (with cables and handles in the trunk)? Cause a minor esthetic challenge, but an easy 2 lb weight reduction. |

I'd consider fabricating an X brace and sticking it in there, Niel. My understanding is that the rear seatback contributes a little to torsional rigidity. I'm sure a removable X brace with some heim joints/ pins to grab the seat hinges and latches could beat the stock seats significantly. Worth thinking about, anyway...
