Yeah so the usual, Aus is a month or two late so we just sit tight and wait. On the other hand there have been "no reported faults" outside of China anyways so I'm not worried.

Mine is a 2010 N54 135, N54 production in 135's finished in March 2010. Anything built after March is N55.

Cant tell if that was a serious comment or sarcasm. But If you were serious, thats not true. There was a whole saga between BMS and vargas with the VTT n55 turbo upgrade because shortly after install the bms car had the vanos bolt failure. There was lots of fingerpointing across all the forums

I was actually just referring to what was being said in news articles and I'm sure there have been bolt failures around, but all the same nothing to be too worried about (unless you run upgraded turbos I guess)

So an update on my car for the engine oil leak, 2 days prior to dropping my car off (24/4 Thursday) driving home from my partner place. my car made a odd loud backfiring noise in gear 2. Made nothing of it- thinking it was just my exhaust suddenly a half engine filled in light pop up. Started to experience power loss about 3000rpm and onward. I took it easy driving 20km home. Once I have arrive home, went to pull the garage door up, another odd sound ventured out. It might not be anything.
ATM The car is at Trivett BMW |
