128 brake service reset mishap/correction
So,
I installed drilled & slotted rotors and Evolution Ceramic pads on the 128 this weekend. That was one long tough process. Mine were at 24k and looking worn but no notifications as of yet. I re-used the same sensors except i lost the little coper spring/clip on the front one so I tie strapped it back. Anyone know if I can get just the spring/clip? Then I made the common mistake of resetting the mileage right afterwards and got the no mileage to go in the brake fields and the notorious red car on lift. I unplugged the front sensor and jumper it so it would look open...I did not cut and splice then reset the values. Mileage returned and the red lift is gone. All is good. What I am curious about is the front reset to 9k and the rears to 31k.....service mileage reset to 28k. Any idea why it is so low? Do i need to unplug the sensors and reset the values again? I have no idea how to solve your issue, but whenever you change pads, just get new sensors because of the breakage of the old sensors. It's really inexpensive and could save you a headache in the future.
