DS mode and Man mode AT shifter repair

After a while your AT shifter moves to the left and/or + - and nothing happens.

The problem is quite simple to fix. The issue lies in some very thin wires that get cut over time with the shifter movement.

Steps to repair:

Remove shifter knob - Pull straight up. Hard. Careful not to bash your forehead.

Remove boot cover. Just pull up an a corner.

Remove plastic bezel. Reach under and pull up.

Remove bolts holding gear shifter assembly. One in the back and two in front. TORX T30

Pull up shifter assembly as far as you can and remove little TORX screws from white plastic protector and right side.

Wire harness runs under the left side. Pull it out completely and you will see the broken wires.

Make some 5" extensions. Solder, shrink tube and wrap with electrical tape.

Route the repaired harness so it will not pinch anywhere. Reassemble the whole thing, and presto.
