too many factors here....type of film, shop, brand, etc.

are you looking at metallic? ceramic? what brand of tint? quality of work?

just normal dark tint for sgm color car. Was thinking 30 % tint. Nothing fancy. Something that is good enough to keep some heat out of the car. Since it is illegal to tint front i was thinkin just doing the back. How much would that run?

the quote at the SGV is 120 but u get lifetime warranty. If you ask pro tint, basically 1 street up, you get it for 100 but only 5 yr warranty. That is just for basic dark tint.

ceramic tint blocks the wireless signals for people with comfort access making it useless

I paid about $200/225 for my IS350, I would hope you can get it for $150. I went to Window Tints, etc in Hollywood. I know it's really up to the installer - but the guy I had took his time and did the best job I've had as far as tinting goes. Perfect, even spacing at the top of windows, no bubbles, etc.

you mean METALLIC tint blocks the wireless signals, dont spread false info. ceramic has no metal in the film thus it does not block signals such as radar detectors, radio reception, and radar detector range or comfort access...

Nik's window tinting in Santa Monica on Lincoln Blvd ( don't let the small shop fool you). Great work, lifetime warranty ( my 8 year old tint on my car is still flawless), very reasonable rates ( tell him the "Blue Ferrari guy" sent you ) with good quality tint in multiple shades.
I had 99% UV, 80 % IR tint placed. I would stick with lighter tint as the film will block UV and 80% of infrared keeping the car cooler... always nice to keep 360 degree visibility...
