Renting a track prepped BMW for the Nurburgring
Hey fellow Addicts. I'm planning a trip to Europe in September and sadly I have to leave my 135i at home. Do any of you have any experience or recommendations as far as renting a track prepped E46 M3 (possibly CSL) or 135i for driving on the Green Hell? Rental companies you'd recommend? Price? Length of time? Important regional track etiquette/tips? Any advice is greatly appreciated

Quite a few BMW's here including E46 and E92 M3: http://www.rent-racecar.de/english/v...ices/index.htm
They used to have a 135i with roll cage and KW clubsports, but I guess somebody totaled it... |

I have a related question: my wife and I would like to visit Oktoberfest this year. Does anyone know where we could rent a 135i (or, ahem, a Cayman) for a few weeks to tour with? I've used The Google, but would prefer a recommended source.

Trust me, after they give you an instruction lap in ANY car they offer, you will see that you wouldn't be able to get the most out of the E46 anyway. I have driven the ring every summer for the past 4 years (i lived 30 mins away) and my 135i could not hold a candle to the track prepped GTi. It was the best 4 laps I had ever done on that track. (Also the last 4 laps ) I highly recommend them though. I will use them again next spring/summer when I visit the inlaws.

Sixt rents pretty nice cars, but I don't think they have the 135i. They do have 1ers and 3ers though. I wouldn't bother renting a car the days you're in Munich since you can take the u-bahn everywhere though.

Good times! I am such a newb.....but what an epic moment to enjoy. I can't wait to get back....I will within the next 3-5 years if I can help it. I'll be sure to look you up Eric.....I'm guessing you could leave Vegas for a week to go back
http://www.streetfire.net/video/dunn...lap_707165.htm techS54 - definitely make more than one lap....at least 3-4 if you can. Your time there will be expensive, but the experience is priceless. Eric took me for a lap in the GTI and I made one in my 135i and it definitely ranks up there as one of the biggest rushes of my life!
