Need me some catted DP's...suggestions

I am looking to complete my exhaust upgrade and wanted to go the route of some catted DP's. I wanted to keep 1 set of hiflow cats so i pass inspection etc around my parts. I hate the higher price for the cats, but what can i do. any suggestions...

Catted DPs are a nice option if you don't want to deal with swapping for inspection. Approx 7rwhp loss over catless.

Definitely recommend the AR Design catted DPs if you need a set.

i just had to switch from the riss catted to ar catted because the cat actually came loose and was rattling in one of my riss dp's... No bueno i went with ar i should have them in a week ill let you know what i think of them. I also have the riss exhaust which of course didn't fit right with the riss catted dp's.

I've got a Dinan Stage II tune and I'm in the UK where we can't really get away with running catless.

I haven't really given catted DPs a thought but perhaps I should. What are the pros and cons? Are they noisier? Will I really notice a difference in power, response etc?

I've got the stock exhaust on at the moment. Would I also have to change the rest of the exhaust?

Any advice gratefully received.

Cheers

They are not much if at all louder. Quicker spoolup, and ~20bhp.

Thanks. Does anybody sell your DPs in the UK? Can I just fit DPs and leave the rest of the exhaust stock (I don't really want a louder noise)?

Ok, you've got me interested now!

What is the life of the cats as compared to the stock BMW cats? Should they last as long? Can they be replaced if necessary?

Tell me about the ceramic coatings (I've just looked at your website). I'm planning to keep this car for a long time. Are you saying that without the coatings that the pipes will rust?

I know Kevin Bird well. I've had lots of work done on my car there - Dinan intercooler, oil cooler, Hartge suspension, Quaife LSD etc etc.

Should be very similar lifespans. We have yet to have a single reported failure on the cats we currently use. A new set of cats can be welded in, but we do not reccomend it.

The pipes are 304 stainless - should not have any rust issues....
