Harry's Lap Timer Pro
Has anyone had issues with this iPhone/iPad application?
Used this initially in January, and was recommending it to others, but on two occasions since it has not been able to recognise GPS data points (?). |

Worked great for me on Saturday. Did everything it was supposed. Will try and match it up to Dorian times on the next meeting.

Are you using an external GPS receiver with it? Highly recommended.

I downloaded OMP racing suite and used it at wakefield a fortnight ago and it was useless, from what i can tell it is the same guys who developed harry's, just re-branded as OMP.... some laps were recorded at 25 sec/lap, others 2mins... two others i was with on the day also downloaded it and has similar issues...
I couldnt figure it out so I'm getting a performance box instead.. |

hey raj, went well mate, loads of fun. Being a track novice (apart from some track days on the bike) I really let the team down on the first 2 sessions. I’m looking forward to learning more as a driver so I can exploit more from the car.. It was a hot day too, so the tires copped it... by the end of the day it was getting quite squirmy..
I had a mate time me on my second last session and he said my best time was a 1:11 which is not that great. Next time I go out ( which will be in july) I just want to work on being a bit more consistent.. |

I bought mine second hand (removed after delivery) with 90% tread PS2s for ~AU$1800 landed! Got about 5 or 6 hard days out of it and a whole lot of smiles! |

Thanks Guran, am using just the iPhone itself. Worked brilliantly the first time, but now it doesn't recognise the same or other circuits.
alik01, is there an intermediate setting for traction control, similar to the 135i and 125i? (If I remember correctly, pushing the traction control button and holding it for 3sec both seem to engage MDM with the skid marks, which indicates all traction off in my 125i. Didn't appreciate finding this out when the rear end began sliding unexpectedly.) |
