80 Bucks later.... Shadowline trim!

Got tired of my aluminium trim on the 135, so I went down to the local vinyl shop to see what could be done.

An hour and a half later, and 80 bucks. I now have gloss black trim! They didn't even have to take it off!

Pretty happy with the outcome.

Not wanting to throw some crappy iPhone pics up here to disgrace my baby lol

Durable as any high grade Vinyl. Can be machine washed if need be, and also has a 2 year warranty. Not a bad overall buy.

I watched them do the work, car was pre heated when brought into the shop, and they took their time on each piece. I think with the work quality, along with the vinyl, that it will last as long as I need it or, or to when I wanna change it

Glad that you posted this, I hate the aluminum as well, and definitely have this in my plans. Was this $80 USD? (I see your location is Germany.)

It turned out to be about 60 Euro, which roughly turns into 80 bucks. An unbeatable price if the vinyl lasts for just a year at a time.

Thanks for the compliments. I know there are plenty of other 1ers out there who want to change their trim, but don't want to pay the 1,500 bucks to trade or buy it from the dealer. Vinyl was the way to go.

I'll keep everyone updated in how durable it is over the next couple months.

Tail lights and roof are next week.

Very nice. The price like you said is crazy cheap. I paid around 150$... Did they do 1 large square on each side?

The high durable vinyl is what I got. It's not 100% smooth but they said it would hold up in all kinds of weather and washes and isn't noticeable unless your looking at it up close.

Yeah man, they did two huge squares. One for each side. The price shocked me actually, but no complaints here.

All I care is its gloss black, and looks like shadow line. Unless you're right up close or feeling it, you can't tell.
