What Mods do I do?

I am the original owner of a VO 1M that I did Euro Del on. It's a pretty basic car with very few options. It currently has 11,000 miles and won't add many per year as I have other cars to drive and a race car for track use.
My thought was to keep it totally stick and let it become the last "stock" 1M in the world very soon. I've had E30 M3's and always was proud they were stick, but the process of doing performance mods that are true improvements without effecting reliability for the 1M are starting to get me thinking.
I Sam a post from **********s that had 5 upgrades to N54.

What do you guys suggest?

Jeff -

Only "must do" is replacing the charge pipe as the stock piece will eventually fail. It's a simple and easily reversible change.

Other minor modification you might consider is deleting the clutch delay valve.

And you get to save the "original " one before it blows up....thus keeping it the most original!

And the CDV you simply punch the metal tab out of the center and reinstall....thus still "stock" appearing but now the clutch works like it should.

JB4 uninstalls without a trace too......

If you are not using the car for anything but weekend cruising, it is pretty much perfect as is, although I would agree with the CDV delete and charge pipe.

I am going down the road of ASP build for autocross but have stuck to mods that should be reasonably reliable and don't rui the daily drive. The car is still amazing and fun for daily driving, and from my reviews that should still be the case after I install Ohlins coilovers this winter.

Being in the collectible car business, if you think the vehicle might have any significant future value, you should do no more than maintain it in its original condition. Don't make any 'improvements" even if minor or insignificant. Also preserve all the paperwork even the maintenance.
