BMW xDriveŽ Comparison Drive
so, whose going to this event in toronto on May 4, 5, 6, and 7? Im going on the 7th at 5pm as the other weekend days and times were basically fully booked...
BMW Canada is pleased to invite you and a guest to experience the BMW xDriveŽ Comparison Drive. This is an exclusive opportunity to experience BMW and competitive All-Wheel Drive vehicles in a unique environment under the direction of professional driving instructors. Test the BMW 325xi and 330xi against the Lexus IS250 AWD and the Audi A4 3.2 Quattro as well as the BMW X3 3.0i versus the Lexus RX330. By driving these vehicles through the same controlled course, you will be able to judge for yourself which vehicles perform the best. BMW xDriveŽ Comparison Drive - Event details: Toronto May 4 - May 7, 2006 Downsview Park You think they'll let me take pictures? haha.. |

That's odd. The event in Calgary was just this Easter weekend and I noticed the cars all had Ontario plates so I thought they would start from the East/Central Canada and work their way West. I guess they must have shipped all the vehicles to Vancouver and are driving them back East as they work their way to the different cities.
It was odd that they didn't have any RWD 325i/330i for comparison. I received the invite through email. I suspect you could call up your sales person and ask about it. |

Acually the email goes to those who registered at the bmw.ca website when the 3 series debuted in Canada. The invitation ended up in the email account that wasn't given to the dealer during the delivery of the car.

Yes, you need to reg. on BMW website. Can't go, unfortunately. I know that IS250 is crap, but I would love to try A4.

I went to that last summer. They had a G35x and an A4 quatro and a 330ix.
It was loads of fun you auto cross all the cars. There are two awards given one for most improved driver and one for Best performance. I received the later. the instructors advise you to beat the shit out of the cars which you should. The auto cross course is a rather simple layout but you will have fun. |

well, they had 3 330xi's and 1 325xi, audi 3.2T quattro, is250 AWD, m-sport x3, a x3, and an rx330. shittiest overall was the rx330 when driven hard in a shicane..thought the beast was gonna topple over and there'd be a bump in the exhaust when returning the steering. fastest was the audi..the instrustors kept telling us to tune it down a bit..all in all a good afternoon, sorry no pics cause the sis had to take the camera elsewhere
