Week 30 Support Group

My order got messed up (signed on June 17 and was told I'd take delivery around July 31 to early August).
The dealer told me they had 1 allocation left for June when he really didn't.

Anyway, Looks like I'm in the WEEK 30 club. LOL

btw, thanks for starting this thread. I was just about to start one, when I came across this one.

Do you you guys think it's too late for me to have ED?
I'm guessing that I would have had to tell them at time of contract and deposit on 06.17.

I think you can still do an ED. It will depend on what date you would want the car to be pick up though. Try asking your CA to make a reservation for you. And make sure the ED department, not only your CA, confirm it to you, the ED department will ask you date options like 3 dates, then they will confirm which is available. Guys above and myself will be doing ED on Sept. I am now officially a crasher here on week 30, sorry Achtung. I was a victim of bait and switch also by a CA. I was initially given a production number then when i checked it, i was told end of June. But now... I got a new production number -i guess it came from the july allocation. Last time I checked, i am on Week 31, July 28 production week. I kinda understood why the dealer did this to me, basically providing the earlier allocation to a guy in need of an earlier car. Especially i am only giving them so much above invoice. So week 31 it is.....last of the mohicans.....

yeah, i'm just glad to be getting one of the last 08's.

Could have waited for an 09, but having year 1 of 1 means something (to me anyway) and it maybe better for resale down the road (having the 1st edition) ...

That really is unfortunate. If the dealer you are dealing with gave your allocation spot in favor of someone paying more money for it and stuck you with a later allocation, I'd deal elsewhere if I were you and try to get a car when promised. That's just bad business. I wish you good luck!

*EDIT* Does that mean your ED schedule got pushed back into mid september?

Hi Achtung, thanks man. My ED was moved just a day.

What is killing me was the breach of trust and what if they pull this stunt on others, because they can... not until a lawsuit gets filed, i guess.They do have some wiggleroom especially for us who are on a later delivery date. i have a solution...ask the CA to send the print file of the order, have you sign your PO yet?

Well, I've slipped to Week 31. Personally, I'd like for it to slip so far that the car is finished just in time to be transported from Leipzig to me in Munich.

I want those volatile organic compounds to be so strong I pass out. :-p

However, as of today, I'm status 112, so that's good! Should have the VIN next monday.

Yes, that is what I'm still getting. From what the CA told me, that will likely remain the case until I get the VIN next week.

Update - call and spoke to a rep today...my car will start production 7/14-21 and will finish on production week 30.

Mine still has not started production, spoke to someone and they told me definitely sometime this week the status will change, but he did not know when exactly..

Per my CA, status 150, and my VIN is assigned :-)

However, 800 number still says blah blah blah, no confirmed production date.

My VIN has been assigned and parts have started production. Looks like it will be in full production next week!
