I can haul more stuff than a 328. LOL.

So I somehow just got a 52" flatscreen TV my 135i coupe (in its box, of course). Folding down those rear seats does wonders...

I was at Best Buy this past weekend with a friend who drives an '08 328xi sedan. He bought a 46" LED TV and we couldn't fit it in his trunk of course. And to my surprise, the seats on that thing don't fold down! So we had to put it in the rear seats and it barely, barely fit. the box was kinda slightly squished between the two rear doors.

I'm laughing so hard inside. Gonna post a picture later. I need to text it to him first

Fold down rear seats have been optional on 3-series sedans (and I believe std on coupes) for last few generations (not sure about E30).

IIRC, it was a $500 option for my '99 E46 sedan but I always regretted being to cheap to order it. My current DD, a '07 328i wagon solves all these problems very nicely and is rated to carry an 1100 lb. payload.

As long as things are flat and not boxy you'd be surprised what fits. I had a 6 drawer chest, 2 drawer chest, coffee table, end table and TV stand in my 128i from Ikea. However when I tried to buy a hose hideaway, it wouldn't fit in the trunk or back seat I had to cram it in the passenger seat with it in it's furthest back position.

You think that's bad? I had to take a 46" screen out of its box to fit it in my E60 545i! In the car park of MicroCenter. Seriously... I was rather irritated when I discovered that I had this huge car that didn't have fold down seats and even then had to work damned hard to get the screen into the back seat. Even then it was standing up in such a way I had no rear-view mirror on the way home.

Impulse buys kill me... I was only there to buy a new XBox. That would've even fit in the 328i...
