Speed, it has been confirmed by several sources that this is infact not false. From what I heard it is most definitely true.

There is no NA press kit, remember your sources are only for NA as you claimed several times. Just calm down, Tine has been quoting the theme of the press release several times (about "desert"), clearly when they decide to release it (either tomorrow or three weeks from tomorrow) if the text of the press release is similar to what Tine has been saying it will clearly prove his sources correct.

just found out no press release on Jan 17.

But the E92 development team meets tomorrow to close the car & production development case (therefore I was told all the final answers would officially be known that day - but interpreted that as PR would come that day - sorry).

The car is now fully ready for production and promotion.

I expect PR is around the door, since some already possess some press pics.

Btw, I still believe in my sources.

There has been NO finished press kit... no embargo... NA or Euro... again, fabrication.

Allegedly these phantom press kits have been sitting in the hands of the press... the extremely trustworthy press... for over a month now: riiiiight.

I'm glad we're finally closing in on the end... when we will see things for what they really are.

OK. I have been a bit naive. I admit. Believing - or better imagining the dates I've been told 100%ly ment the release of press release.

Btw, I got conformation about meeting in Munich where E92 was shown since our national BMW representative (the CEO) was there.

Still I can not confirm R&D E92 team is really meeting tomorrow. But when a guy who is a part of it says so I guess it's true.

Aparentlly they don't. As I said before the info I got around Dec 20 appeared to be no press kit but a promo for another purpose. Some know what I'm talikng about.
Since some already possess the official pics - I can't confirm whether they are from press kit or from some other source - I guess the press release date is approaching with a speed of light.

I'm glad somebody does.

Now I have no choice. I have to be loyal and consistent.
But I'm eagerly awaiting the final result - I'm especially confident about the engines: US will get everything else but 3.5L I6 NA petrol engine.

Speed, please read what is going on more clearly before posting. He stated the reason the Dec 20th deadline didn't happen is because it wasn't a press kit, it was an internal promo kit. I was never confirming that the press has had a kit and holding out, what I am saying is that the internal promo did happen, and it was on December 20th.

This same claim has been repeated for over a month.

There has been NO proof of what was said to have happened on the 20th... until I see proof of this claim... I choose not to believe what you and others have said.

sorry to revive an older thread, but after reading this I had to.

Speedfreak, instead of dissing Tine for his info not to come out public you should be aplauding him for giving us some info. It's not his fault the difference between internal release or public release isn't always clear. It's guys with attitudes like yours that keep sources like Tine from posting. It's not like you can proove his info is false can you? So lighten up, don't be an ass. If the info at the end appears to be different from what Tine has been saying, yes than you can question his sources, untill then try to behave a bit more mature.

It's always easy to question someones sources. Especially when "outing" the source might cause the flow of information to stop.

IMHO we have a NA source and Euro source conflicting. Is the NA source a BMW corp sleuth trying to find out who their "leak" (ie. Tine) is? (James bond theme song playing).
