Will I Rub #2!!! ;)

Dropping the car on Eibach Pro Kit (1.2" F 1.2" R) and FSDs.

I want to get rid of the crappy run flats...but not sure if I want to change Rims(oem 264 style).

With that suspension, can I go 235s (or 245s) on fronts and 255s (or 265s) rear without rubbing? (Ill search up what size of tire can fit on the oem rims...no need to address here)

If I'll rub, other than rolling the fenders, what would I have to do to get it to fit?

I would like to put 255/35/18 on BMW Performance 269 (ET52) with a BMW Performance suspension and I wonder if that will rub?? Anyone?

The relatively narrow stock wheels and great stock offsets should allow 235/40fr and 265/35 or 265/30 in most brands of street tires. Some brands you might could go up to 245 and 275 but they would be very wide for that width wheel.

Any idea where I can go to read more on your statement? 275s would make me really happy!!!!

I think either way, pilot super sports or star specs will have far superior grip over stock run flats, but I want as much grip as possible!

one problem with 275s is the diameter. you'd want a 275/30-18, but that's a nonexistant size. only 275/35-18 is available, which is too tall. the gearing is already long in this car, and a 4.3% increase in the diameter of the driven wheels further lengthens the gearing and equates to a 4.3% reduction in torque application, or approximately 12.9 ft-lbs in any given gear at any given speed. to make up for this you'll occasionally have to downshift earlier/more than before. this could of course all be fixed with an adjustment of final drive ratio. or you could get the offset JUST right, and use a 285/30-18, which is a somewhat common size, and has a diameter pretty close to the oem tires.

edit: none of the above would be possible on stock wheels.

I don't think any manufacturer makes tires wider than 225 and 255 to fit 7.5 and 8.5 inch wheels. Even if you can squeeze them in without rubbing, you would still get poor performance due to bending the sidewalls out of shape.

adding: to fit 245f and 275r, you need Apex Arc 8 wheels.

Thanks for pointing them out to me. Problem is the car's cashmere silver...odd (but nice) color. Can't go anthracite or black wheels. I'd be stuck with silver.

Maybe I get em polished like 1013MM?!?
