BMW 1M Front Tire Wear

Question: Is this an acceptable front tire wear pattern and does it indicate the need for an alignment? The inside edge of the tires is worn smooth with no cords showing, tread depth in the first groove from the inside is 4/32 and in the third groove 6/32, and the outside edge still has tread but very little. The tread wear pattern and depth is the same on both left and right sides with no chunking/cupping/feathering. There are 46,671 miles on the 1M and 27,957 miles on the tires. The tires are 245/35ZR19XL Michelin Pilot Super Sport. About half the miles are highway and half city with approximately two dozen short course autocross runs and no track time. I've been running 36 psi for both street and autocross. Thanks

BMW 1M Front Tire Wear

I failed to say in the first post that my 1M has stock suspension and the factory alignment settings.

Pictures might be helpful, but it sounds like there's a bit more inside wear than outside?

For almost 30k miles on a set of PSS that includes a bunch of autocross, I'd say you're way ahead of the curve and that there isn't much that needs to be changed.

Tread wear would have been perfect with two HPDEs thrown in.

I agree that you are getting excellent mileage from your tires but I would double check the toe setting. I wouldn't think you'd be getting that much more wear on the inside with stock settings. The outside wear is probably from the autocross runs.
