Unfortunately, I followed that first bit of advice, but still claim it was one of the best cars I've ever owned.
The guy standing behind it said it was pushing about 11lbs of boost...however I'm not sure if it was his car, or even if he worked there...so take that for what its worth.

even $400 would be too rich for me. lol. still, I like seeing companies go outside of the norm and do things like this.

that kit runs at 5 PSI. if that car was really running 11 I wonder how much more it puts down.

That has to be it. Same colour and everything. I really doubt it was at 11psi now lol

Stock block it's....unlikely that was at 11 pounds. Not at the native CR and not with a mag. block and crank.

Several years ago I was confused as to why people wanted to boost the N52. In 2015, i'm still confused. And no, it has nothing to do with the N54/55.

I'm with you, it's so ludacris. Spending $800 on headers is one thing, but $5000 on a supercharger for 60hp and questionable long term reliability? Why o why?

VT1+ upgrade kit adds +1 psi for $500

I'd love to hear more on how these are working in the real world. I live at 7500' ASL and would love to get that neg30% hp back + 60/80 hp to boot without turbo headaches.

It's not encouraging that the forum chatter about this SC kit has gone all but silent.

So far nobody has gotten the kit to work with catless headers. The injectors cannot keep up the fueling and the VT+ kit is a different pulley with 1psi more and a upgraded fuel pressure regulator to up the fueling a bit +-20hp more. They're looking into different injectors but the Vanos requires a spray pattern that is very precise due to low lift at idle.

That sums it up shortly. Other than that a few members have the SC fitted with no other mods for 6kish miles with no problems. Thats an e91 328xi i believe.

I personally hope that the kit's reliable long term and especially installed at higher mileage since it's only climbing on my car. I'd love to try it if funds ever allow it and i get another daily.
