That's ridiculous. I negotiated my entire deal via email and text. Damn good thing too since I never have time to chase across town during the work week. It's definitely a sign to try another dealer or maybe ask for a different guy/sales manager.

Actually dealer near work just got back to me and he wants only $1000 to place the order.
I'm going to email him the same offer and see what he says. |

It all depends on the deal you are doing. I am paying mine in full, so that is a fully refundable deposit. If you were financing then you have the option to apply that or get it refunded according to my salesman. I asked when I was looking over my options to buy or lease.

LOL. Man do I wish I could pay it off in full. I am doing a 2 year prepay lease. So I am gonna be paying out about 15k. I do have my present car paid off, so I am using it for that payment plus putting some cash in the bank for a down payment or payoff when the lease ends.
The whole point was that if you make a deposit you have the option to get it refunded or use towards your payment. |
