i've been drooling over it on the bmw website. i like it much better than the 1 series (sorry!!!! just my opinion).
i also like how the base engine is 255HP.... i am not crazy about the turbo in the 135i and think i'd get the 255HP N.A. engine in the new Z4. 255HP is plenty of power for me....but i am sure many would want the 300HP turbo. and im not crazy about the turbo's mileage...but thats only a side note....not my #1 concern. i think the new look is very classy....i know the current model Z4 has a reputation of being femanine (as does the 1 series). but i think the new Z4 looks a bit more masculine. love that!!!

Very likely, but waiting for the coupe. Pending we're not in a depression, it will be my next car.

My prev Z4 couldn't catch 135, however I liked more Z4 feel and handling. I hope new Z4 will be faster so I can switch back.

I really like it, but agree that it's a lot more than the 135, and not sure that it would be worth it for a smaller two-seater.
Good to see that iDrive is not standard. :w00t: |

I wonder if the improvement in visibility will offset the increased weight of the hardtop. And while BMW boasts that it only takes 20" to lower the top, the previous model did it in 6"!
Sorry to see that BMW has retained the electric power steering from the previous Z4 - no where near the road feel of the 1er's hydraulic steering, IMHO. Also, since leatherette and the 230 HP motor are NA, I suspect the base price will be pretty high. Tom |

I'm really not feeling the Z4. I think it's the best looking one yet. But the whole oversized front, small ass is the polar opposite of how I like my cars..... and my women!!

Very nice.
However, main reason I went for a 1 is that I need a daily drive and the Z4 just feels the bumps too much. If you look at used Z4's on edmunds you'll see most have relatively low mileage, which tells me most people use them for fun and not commuting. Don't know if they improved the ride in the redesign. |

My 135i was $47,000 without Nav, so I don't think the price difference is quite as high as you may think. For $65,000 I'd expect it to come with a hot blond....and hey, I might pay it.
