Code pulled, P10B8 charge air temp not changing?
Half engine light this morning, seemed to drive fine into work (didn't floor it), pulled code P10B8 using my standard OBD2 reader over lunch.
I can't find much on that code on Google but on a Mini forum and zero search results here for that code. Info on the Mini forum link I found says approximately "charge air temperature sensor, value does not change". It seems likely to me that code is the same for my BMW. To me this sounds like a code indicating the temperature isn't fluctuating like expected with boost. I do have an aftermarket intercooler but it has been installed for I think close to a year without issue, also have had a Cobb AP for several years. I have not done anything to the car recently except brake pads. Cleared it for now, will see if it pops again and buy a new sensor if it does, but wondering if anyone else has had this code pop.

Quick follow up, this code never returned. It's been a few weeks now.
Perhaps the charge air temp really didn't change due to actual performance of aftermarket intercooler and a fluke set of circumstances? Anyway, no worries, if you have this I'd just clear it and see if it comes back. I used my standard cheap-ass Actron scanner.
