Smile Feeler: Custom Performance Exhaust

Hi Guys

Who would be interested in buying the Cat back including mid pipes for the 135i from Custom Performance (ie the CP-E Exhaust) as featured on the forum?

See it here:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...highlight=CP-e

Sound Clips:

http://www.cp-e.com/2116.html

The price would be less than $2060 AUD, delivery to Sydney. Others state members are more than welcome to buy in, just remember the shipping would be more costly.

Retail USD is $1400 , so i think the price is fairly good. If we can get 5 people we could bring that down...

Thoughts?

Seems expensive. What is the difference between this system and having a good shop here knock one up?

A good shop will still charge you around $1800 for a cat back exhaust & mid pipes. Then you've not benefitting from perfect fit/finish also. I've gone down the custom route with Hitech for my S3, sure it was great but for a extra $200 I would have got a mass produced one.

I think a tad less than $2060 is good for a cat back & midpipes.

The price is decent. Can you tell me more about the product? I haven't been reading their threads. Is it an exhaust that is more for sound or performance? You know which one I am looking for! Btw, if I have a catless DP, does this mean I will be completely catless?

Wayne, suggest you read the thread. I think the exhaust is a bit of both. Yes, you'd be completely catless so perhaps for you the best bet is to just get the muffler.

In any case, the supplier confirmed no discount for 5 buys as the price is already at the current CP-E special. So this thread is now pointless lol

Thanks. I will spend some time tonight to read through this. I just noticed it's 5 pages long. One issue we may have is the fitment with RHD. However being a midpipe and catback, it probably would be fine.

Still it is tempting Kris.

Wayne, after having done the reading tonight, some homework for you.
Q: Which is the lightest cat-back currently on the market?
