My guys also hit me up to leave the car on display in the showroom for a few days. I just snorted derisively!

Mine's probably going to sit around for a few weeks before I can get down there. Really hope there's not going to be too many finger prints on there.

I've got mine!
My M1 or 1M or whatever it's called has arrived in Perth. I arrived to pick up my 135i after a service and there it was in the front showroom with two large men sat in it! Forgive pics I only had my Blackberry with me.

nice.. the front looks like it needs to be lowered though.
I'd be pissed if my car was put on the showroom for everyone to sit in and touch.

Appreciate the offer, but I am not sure if I can take it up! First it is against my principle. I think as the owner you or the missus should get first go. And secondly, this will make the next month even harder to bear! Will see, but I think chances are I will be politely declining your offer for a drive.

Oh yeh I am disappointed we get those knobby headlight washers, unlike our 1series cars. |

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I will also need the anti radar special sticker plastic film technology too.

Thanks for the good wishes. As soon as I saw BMW planning on putting M3 transmission and running gear and a few other M bits into the 135i I thought that'll do me and it really has. I am very happy with what I have and if a few enthusiastic folks visiting a BMW dealer want to sit in it and love it too that's Ok with me. I'll even put up with the knobbly headlight washers as the rest of it is no nice.

Me too! I'm yet to hear a clear explanation for it. I assume there is no longer the necessary space behind the bumper.

The Dealer rang me, over the top with excitement he was, more so than me. hahahaha It just arrived at BMW Melbourne and he took some shots for us. Having already seen one in in the metal in Germany I knew what it looked, smelt and felt like.... I told him I didn't want people sitting in it, drooling was ok on the paint but no sitting in or driving him |

I'm with you on the driving and sitting. People just do things to cars when it's not their own.
"Yeah mate, I'm a friend of the dealer so I drove one those and they really fly hey, brand new so it was a bit tight. Got it to red line okay but". |

Absolutely. I'm with Gazz on this. I admire Steve's "I'm okay, you're okay" approach, but there is no way I am suffering any acne-faced 17 year old taking my Angry Jaffa for a "test drive" around the block!!
