I'm afraid they won't look good in a car with coral red leather. If they have them I wonder why it says 2-3 week delivery time?

I bet they don't have them "in hand".

The main reason I would get them is weight savings. I have no idea what those seats weigh but I'll bet they're ~100lb+ less than the factory power seats. I think they look damn good, other than the color not matching my car.

I also think they are pretty gorgeous, but the factory seats are about 55lbs each, so you are not going to be losing ~100lbs by putting those in your car. They do have the airbag mechanism, plus have manual adjustability, unlike normal aftermarket racing seats.

What I'd be most concerned with is if they make the rear seat less accessible than it already is.

I second that, had them on my test car and they were way to harsh for daily driving.

You loose the heated and memory seats functions also.

I don't fancy grey or obsidian Alcantara either.

To each their own but stock sport seats rock :headbang:!

Way too pricey, just get Bride seats or something.

The ony reason the rear seats are there to begin with are for insurance puposes. On average, a person's insurance would increase about 25%-30% in there were no rear seats. I will be taking mine out, especially when my roll bar is finished

I have to disagree; My last car was a Boxster S and it was only $5 more year.

Garage List
That would match my black interior perfectly however I am not willing to spend $5250 + $200 for it. I'm sure they're great seats but is about 1/8th the price of the car.

$1299 ea from HMS. They seem to be the same seat, minus the svelte "BMW Performance" stitching and the side airbag. It does recline and also tips forward for rear seat access, and I was sitting in one the other day... OMG it is butt paradise.

I agree. I would strongly consider them if they were half the asking price.

looks like BMW added side airbags and heated seat elements but otherwise it looks like the same seat.
