automatic wipers need to be turned on every time the car is restarted?
Everytime i turn off the car and turn it back on the automatic wipers dont come on. i have to press the button so the green light comes on.
is this normal?

The green led light on the wiper stalk. It tells you the rain sensors are on. To me, it would not make sense for them to stay on. Who would want the wipers to be on the next day when it is sunny?

The head light would stay auto-on once it was swtiched to auto-on, but not the wiper. It is a wiered design which makes me belived BMW had 2 different teams of engineers to work on 2 different systems and come up with 2 different designs.

It's on AUTO you turn it on so that if you go into a car wash they don't start moving!
They're auto at your request hehe

Like Chesterfan said, it's because people would forget they were on when they took the car to the autowash.
