How low did you go?

So I recently installed KW v1 coils and I believe they're on 16 threads. I started driving around town and I keep scraping the ground when entering/exiting out of driveways with some slope. I don't think it's the front bumper that's scraping but the 2 plastic flaps/pieces that are in front of the front wheels. Anyone experienced similar things or can offer some suggestion?

I'm assuming the only way to avoid scraping is to raise the height some more. Why did BMW put those plastic flaps in the front anyways

I read that those flaps are for aerodynamics at high speeds. I guess it helps break the wind contacting the tire. I have KWV1's and I rub all day and have major fender damage so im just over it and left it lol...

@Tommeh, how low are you at?

I mean in a way it's not rubbing the bottom of the car which is good.. but I shrivel every time I hear something scratching against the ground

Garage List
I initially had my suspension setup shooting for 20mm lower than stock. As things changed with corner balancing, etc I ended up around 30mm lower in the front. I removed those rubber flaps when I installed my lip but or course my lips scrapes at times. I also had to diagonal at times to keep the bottom from rubbing.

Where I riding now, I have around a 1/4 inch front gap and 1/2 inch rear gap from the top of the tire to the height of the lip of the fender. I'd rather be around even but I just had too many issues when that low. I may have to go a little higher in the rear if I cant get my tires to quit rubbing. If I go up in the rear I'll go up in the front also.

Try to get your height sorted out before you get an alignment or corner balance (although the corner balance will then effect the height a little too).

why count threads? it means nothing and can't be compared between setups

measure actual car height... with a tape-measure.

Right I should tape measure the distance to be more accurate. Does anyone know what it is for stock height? I forgot to measure it before.

Right now my top of the tire is tucked in (so you can't see the top by looking at it). I'll say maybe it's 1/4 inch tucked in. I think this is too low to avoid scraping the front tire flaps at driveways. Should I change it so I have 1/4 inch from top of the tire to the fender like @Eyeman ? I'll be driving in NY and those are some bada$$ roads

Mines slammed with alot of tuck. Just angle when going into driveways. But if your not running camber plates dont turn on slopes too. Wheel to fender contact
