Aluminum pedals for right hand drive
Asked the dealer and the word is there is not foot rest in aluminum pedals because for some reason it has not been made for right hand drive vehicles
Anyone has had experience with that? Perhaps someone knows of quality aftermarket pedals i can buy instead (manual)? Not going to be even contemplating ebay, all their stuff looks awfully cheap. Cheers

they are, but the size or shape of the footrest is apparently different. hearsay is that it sticks out and creates a hazard with breaking... alternate theory is that the screws dont' fit/there's cables under the footrest that can be damaged
noone really knows

Footrest won't fit RHD 1ers, as the footrest is a slightly different shape to the LHD cars.

Here is where I get confused. Your right foot is on the gas pedal. The foot rest on left hand drive cars is for the left foot and its tucked in beside the kick panel. Where have they put a footrest on rhd cars?

Have been told the same thing by my dealer's parts dept here in NZ. Like you say, assume the 'alive' BMW Performance pedals are the same as LHD and they didn't bother with the dead pedal... guess that's also why the footrest has to be ordered separately.

well I've ordred some Schnitzer pedals for LHD thinking that if they dont' fit i can always modify, but the dead pedal is too large and I'd be chopping way too much off and it'll look like crap.
so now I'm stuck with a spare LHD dead pedal
