My 135 got hungry = RIP Bird (pics)

So I'm driving on a suburban Melbourne street, and whilst making a right turn I give the car a bit of throttle. As I do I see a small blur coming low and from the left, then a few feathers or leaves flicking over the hood. In short I think I've either hit or slightly wounded a bird.

When I get home I go to assess the damage:




Poor little guy's head was caught in the kidney grill and snapped its neck right around. Disclaimer: The Indian Myna bird is a pest down here, they attack native bird nests, and are generally a nuisance. So I don't feel completely guilty.

This is some part of a rabbit (probably the tail) stuck on mine... Repair was covered in full by the insurance (nothing to pay), with an invoice of USD 1,600.00 from the bodyshop :
