No wonder!!!!!!!! I had my kit installed at a body shop and they totally screwed up on the front bumper. Now I see why!! Wish I had seen this post before. They did not install whatever piece is needed in the undercarriage, so the bottom of my bumper is ondulated, and looks shitty! And when i went to pick up the old parts, found out they did not use all the parts that came with the kit. Like the splitters (is that what they're called, the black pieces on the bottoms sides of the front?), which are still in the plastic bags they came in. Look at the first 2 pictures of this thread, and you should be able to see what I am talking about: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49931 I hope ksfrogman might have some pictures of the piece that has to be bolted onto the undercarriage, so I can locate it. I will have to open the box that I so carefully wrapped with shrink wrap today with all the pieces not used and the old bumpers, etc. Could I fix it myself? I wonder...

Here is an old photo. I had the bottom portion put on by a body shop, but if you look closely, even they didn't quite install the flap the right way. This is why you see the undulating black flange. That flange should actually tuck under the new M-bumper. This was an easy thing to change. |
