135i Video Project - JOY IS BMW
We recently finished a video of the 1 over the weekend while doing some test shooting for another project we have coming up and thought I'd share with the community here. This was all shot just south of San Francisco around the Crystal Springs Reservoir. No racing, just some nice beauty shots of this beautiful machine. Enjoy!

Very well done, the vid looks outstanding!!!! I really like how the color BMW emblems stand out and the exhaust note at the end. Great commercial makes me wanna go out and drive.

Given how great this video is, I couldn't help it but to view twice, and I noticed that the specs being described such as "28 mpg" and "TwinPower Turbo" do not align with the car in the video. Based on the mirrors, it doesn't seem to be a 2011 car. Either way, AMAZING video!!!

Very Nice!
But I did catch the trunk key slot, and thought it was odd becuase they stopped using those on the 2009 model. But just being to particular. What do you expect on an enthusiest website. |

haha, most of the text was taken from the BMW site. Oh well, you can't win them all. Thanks though.

yeah man, the Canon lineup is great. I'm really looking forward to the next batch, hoping to hear some news in the near future. The best part is being able to get these cameras in places that would be too hard with a normal video camera. Smaller, lighter, and easier to work with. They do have there issues as a video camera but as long as you know what to work around, your pretty well off. I've been wanting to get out and do something like this in the day but had never had the chance before. Always had to do it at night and shoot sequences of jpgs or RAW images with a slow shutter. Really cool look but wanted to see how good we could make daytime stuff look. Luckily the sun came out for us for a little and that we were able to get some nice detail in the clouds. Thanks again!

Due to it's APS-C sensor the Nikon D7000 cannot quite produce the same shallow depth-of-field footage that the Mark-2 or other full-format DSLRs can but still, with proper lenses you should be able to shoot stunning vids

Really well done! I'm so amazed by the SLRs that can do HD video - the results are just incredible. I've been playing around a lot with the Panasonic GH1, but my buddy has about 20k worth in lenses for his Canon cameras. It's movie quality stuff for sure.
Love the part where the 135i does the fast lane change. Great job! -Joe My 135i |
