2 series differential on e82?
Has anyone investigated whether a 2 series differential would fit on an e82 128i / 135i chassis?
They make a 2 series Performance LSD available: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=982936 I have checked the diagrams on realoem.com and its not listed a cross reference part, which isn't surprising... That doesn't necessarily mean it might not fit though. As we know there are part that fit and bolt right up - for example: F30 335i brakes http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1306682 F20/F21 M235i Msport brakes on the e82. Examples: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1182353 So... what are the chances that a 2Performance LSD would fit?

Looking at pictures it looks like the mounting is similar, the driveshaft has a sunk-nut/splined set up like the 135. Only thing is the axles don't have flanges on them, they are one piece... not sure if the flanges from a 135i would work on it.
Also I would imagine it's probably a bit more expensive then an aftermarket solution. |

Really doubt this is the best value/performance clutch type option out there. Even if it did fit.
