Fault code P0299 Underboost N54
Hi guys.
I have a P0299 fault code on my 08 135i. 95k Miles INPA fault code reads: P0299 Turbocharger 'A' in underboost condition. Anyone know if this is different from the 30FF code? I've already checked the Diverter Valves and are about to check the vacuum system. I have found no visual damage to the intake and turbo system. Have anyone had any luck by just adjusting the wastegate actuator rod? I've accessed the front turbo intake, pictures should be attached. looks okay? |

Did you check for vac leaks? Passenger side intercooler pipe is a common leak point and so are boost solenoids.
Intercooler Pipe: Check for oil around where the charge pipe connects to the intercooler, theres a gasket in there that degrades over time, same with the C clip that holds it on...both happened to me Boost Solenoids: common leaking diaphragm causes underboost conditions on 1 or both turbos from what I have heard although I have no personal experience in it |

I did visualy check all the hoses, and are about to test the vacuum with a syringe to check if the actuators operate.
I didn't see any oil on the outside of the intercooler or the pipes connecting to it, but there were a lot of oil inside. |
