Memory Issues: Mirror resetting and Seat position

Just thought I would post this for anyone going thru issues when unlocking their car where the mirror moves out of saved position and Seat does not respond to saved position when car is set to move them into right position when being unlocked.

I went and had my car checked and it turns out that a severe computer malfunction i had last week (teltale: red car on hoist) was the end of the CAS (computer) - BMW had corrected this to some degree but when i took my car last week i had no PDC or Rear sensors working. Today they tell me they have to order a new CAS and have it programmed to my car (2 weeks wait) from Germany....this controls memory functions, key entry etc. and sensors.

Anyone experiencing this should question the CAS because i have had mirror issues from day 1 and other things started to occur as the computer got progressively worse. Anyway i hope that this is the end of the issues and i can just enjoy driving my car without any more BMW appointments.

NO issue as yet I have comfort entry as well.

I thought the comfort entry was not as sensitive the other day. Now it is back to normal.

Garage List
My mirror issue turned out to be a loose wire. Inside door liner had to be removed to check it but the fault was found and fixed.

mattyv yea wonder if the loose wiring is a quality check issue - anyway BMW send that to Germany for records. my problem was my computer went postal - dash display was going crazy - meters moving radically no rev display, petrol showed empty, no air con or radio while car engine was running & actually when i took it back 1st time they said it was loose wiring etc they corrected that issue but I came home that day and realized i had no sensors working (Front & Back) - 2nd time BMW say i need to replace the CAS unit.
