The entire deal? or just the actuator. And if you don't mind me asking, stock boost or tuned?

Almost 59K. HPFP twice, third brake light crack twice, usual seatbelt and tail light recalls (though neither had problems that I saw), radio system completely replaced once, adaptive headlight motor failed (NOT caused by aftermarket lights, but BMW blamed it on them), and a few other small things that may or may not have been mod related. Sounds like a lot, but over 4 years it's not really that bad. The radio system was replaced based on a SINGLE incident where it played static while it was "off".

Nearing 63k miles... HPFP injector recall and 3rd brake light(s) early on/under warranty. Otherwise all is well...

Had it three years as of this past Monday, sometime over the weekend it will pass 90,000 miles.
One HPFP, something with the oxygen sensors at about 50,000 that they needed replacing and the airbag light has had to been fixed three times because of moving the passenger seat with something under it (though they have stopped charging us to fix that now), and the second replacement for the trunk brake light. The radio display is starting to drop pixels when it's hot, but that's not a big deal and not worth replacing yet. Still on the original front brakes, the rears were replaced last week. We extended the service expecting to have two sets of brake jobs by 100,000, but it will be a stretch to even have one at this rate. Everything else I believe has been regular maintenance. I would say it's going quite well. |

Granted this is a limited sample, but it seems to confirm what most of our experiences have been...Bad original HPFPs, third BL issues, and some more random problems with AC and electronic gremlins. Everything else for the most part seems to be routine wear stuff i.e. coils, spark plugs, etc. All in all, not too shabby for year 1 of the 1

Original front brakes at 90,000 miles? That's crazy!

09/08 build purchased in June 2009.
I've got 90,000km (~60k miles?) and I had the HPFP pump fail on me in early 2011. Replaced under warranty. I also just had 5 injectors replaced under the recall. Apart from that, just some rattle issues here and there but otherwise it's been going fine. |

54,xxx on my 1/08 build. No issues really at all other than the normal. HPFP replaced once along with injectors. All I know is my car puts a smile on my face every time I get in it!

43500 miles, all of which were great fun. HPFP under recall. Had the fuel tank replaced under warranty when it wouldn't accept more than about 8 gallons. No other problems except staying under the speed limit.

44,000 miles, bought it a year ago with 27,000 on it. HPFP and injector recalls done before i bought the car.
I had the 3rd taillight fixed, seatbelt tensioner recall fixed, at 43,000 it started misfiring occasionally, dealership cleaned the intake valves (walnut shell treatment), replaced all the injectors, and replaced the plugs under warrantee and the car runs great. No probs otherwise. |

69,000 miles 12/07 Build date Car was pretty much trouble free until 60K miles. Since then, it seems it's starting to fall apart: 1. DMTL pump failure 2. ABS hydro unit failure 3. iDrive/Radio/Bluetooth intermittent failure 4. Cruise control failure EDIT: Forgot to mention minor stuff such as: 5. Third brake light cracked twice 6. Steering wheel trim peeling next to buttons Last edited by ATSR; 09-04-2012 at 12:21 PM.. |

52k miles. Car has been in service for 44 mos (3yr/42k with first owner). HPFP replaced twice, 3rd brake light replaced once, carbon cleaning done at 49,500 miles along with new plugs. Everything else routine and nothing paid out of pocket so far (other than an interim oil change I performed and now a trans fluid change I did myself last week). Now that warranty is up, that will change, but I'm not worried.

Got mine January 4th of this year with 14700km on it, in service date was September 20th, 2008. I now have almost 37000km on it, 4000 of those KM with GIAC tuning. So far while I've owned it, 3 oil changes, brake fluid flush, pollen filter changed, inspection, radio replaced, sunroof cassette replaced twice, steering wheel replaced with all the controls, hvac controls replaced, seat repaired, ac lines replaced.
