So exactly where do you put the 3m tape? BTW... i recently bought a pair from another vendor and the fitment is off significantly. Looks nice, and really good quality but the fitment is way off and when placed on the existing cap, there are seams everywhere.

You put the 3m tape in the inside of the actual mirror "cap" and stick it on your existing oem cap.. so you do not remove the oem one... which wasn't what I wanted.. I wanted one that is simliar to the performance one where you remove the oem one and clip on the cf one..
