But it's irrelevant in a 1er discussion if the wheel doesn't fit. That's all. Kind of like saying Porsche wheels are lighter or heavier. Cool, but without a practical application. |

I'd swear it'd poke out like crazy EDIT: if those are really OE wheels with E90 offset fitting like that (which I can't fathom how), I stand correct, they fit lol Interested to know the specs though and if they're indeed OE... E90 rims should poke out a lot, making it undriveable Last edited by ________; 12-19-2018 at 01:54 PM.. |

Look at the concavity of the double-spokes on the rear wheels. You can see they're the different version intended for the E9X.

That being said, I did query the part numbers on BMWFans.info. The information isn't completely accurate IMO, but it seems as though the weights are nearly identical, with only a negligible difference between them. Interestingly enough, the 313 M version entered production in January of 2012 (likely for 135is production), while the 313 Performance version entered production earlier in January of 2009, likely as part of the BMW Performance Parts catalog. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116856666 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116856667 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116787645 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116787646 |

How did he manage to make the rims look exactly the same fit with 8/19 37 offset? Quote:
Maybe his rims are replicas as well or re-machined... |

The guy has gone on record saying he has the E90 version of the wheels, and the rears look like it, but you're still questioning the look of the front, based on a few photos.

Well, based on the specs of the wheel, don't you!? I'm more surprised you buy that face value than anything else.

Normally I'd question it, considering how poorly E9X wheels fit the E82, but the rears really do look like the different offset E9X version to me. Maybe he's running the 1 Series versions in the front only? Not only, but the rears almost look like they could be 19" diameter in my eyes...again, really tough to form any sort of judgement based on the photos. |

Crazy prices, though. The BMW Performance 313 front wheel (P/N 36-11-6-787-645) is listed on ECS's website for $231.98, and the 313M front wheel (P/N 36-11-6-856-666) is listed for $426.27. That ///M costs a lot. lol

And I noticed the price difference on ECS myself, quite a spread between the M and Performance version for the fronts! If I had to chose, it'd be a tough call. I'm guessing I'd go with the M version because I've always liked the little stick-on M logo things. Not that my preferences really matters though, as more and more of the cool parts from BMW Performance are going NLA, as we've discussed elsewhere |

I guess I need to hurry up and buy an M4 so I can wait a few years and then buy those M Performance parts before they vanish...but then again, I'm really not crazy about the extra 10" of length the M4 will take up in my garage

Pulled into the parking lot at work today, parked next to this M4.
Crazy to step back and think sometimes how BMW has evolved/continues to evolve. I think back to my 1991 318is, 2002 M3, 2006 Z4, then look at my 2008 1, then there's this 2018 beast...what the hell will we have in 2028? Things used to be so simple. Haha. In 2028 I know one thing, I'll still have my 2008 1, just hopefully 1-2 others parked next to it. Never getting rid of this vehicle (like they all say...) |
