Arrow Radio intermittently not working ?

Hey all, it hasn't happened in a while but when I would drive and try to use the radio at times, you would turn the radio on, but no sound would come out.
Leave it off for about 20 minutes and then it would work again.

My car was serviced about 4 months ago, I told the dealer about it but they weren't able to replicate it.

It hasn't happened for me in about 5 months.

Has anyone ever had this happen?

There was a software issue with earlier radios that caused this problem. I would guess that by 2011 the fix would have been included in the software in your car.

Is your issue the same as post #2 in http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=852480 ? If so, a reflash will solve it.

I also have a 2011 for your reference.

wow! that's exactly what happens.

do you think it's worth taking the car in to the service dept. ?
The problem happens sporadically. still under warranty though.

I don't see any downsides to mentioning the issue unless you have your ECU flashed. I haven't had that issue crop up since they re-flashed it.

I occasionally get back in my car to find the radio at the very bottom of the frequency dial instead of where I left it. Makes it sound as though the radio is not working. Drives me nuts. Also happens on the wife's x3.
