New member checking in...Picking up my 1m tomorrow, how do I protect the alcantara

So i was going through my car today prior to delivery and I noticed the alcantara on the door handles. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it clean, it looks like it won't age very well. I've thought about suede conditioner for shoes but Im not sure if that's a good idea.

Here she is

ChrisBuer, I looked this up and seems like an amazing product.
Read Just curious about one thing.
When cleaning the alcantara on the doors for example, do you spray the entire alcantara bit or can you simply clean where you need to, or will it leave unevenness.

Also how much should you apply? How wet should the alcantara be during application?

Thanks in advance

You don't need to spend the money on Swissvax to get a good Alcantara cleaner, but whatever you use do not spray the cleaner directly on the Alcantara.

Instructions for alcantara maintenance & cleaning (multiple languages):

Seems like there isn't a real need for dedicated products. I ran into this post ( http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/clean...-interior.html ) from a few years back where the Sonax cleaner appears to have damaged the seats on an Audi.

I have white alcantata seats in my S4 and they still look almost new
The best way to maintain and clean alcantara is......water!

a slightly damp microfiber cloth is pretty much all you ever need. For blood, I used a tiny bit of lemon juice mixed with water.

Alcantara is pretty amazing stuff, but don't make the mistake of applying cleaning products--they will ruin it.
