Jlevi SW | Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler for 1-Series
We have just lowered pricing for this replacement lip spoiler. This is the BMW Performance style CF spoiler that comes with preinstalled double sided tape.
We also offer it in non-Carbon if you prefer the painted look. |

Hey Nick, are there still fitment issues on these regarding the sides lifting up? I think that's a great price you dropped it to and I'm very interested but would like a piece of mind that I won't have to worry about the sides lifting up on me.

The first units did have that problem, I noticed it on my car too. If you use the proper tape, you can get the edges to sit down so it has not been a problem.

Definitely interested here but that corner lifting issue concerns me.
What do you mean by "if you use the proper tape" since you say in the OP that it comes pre-installed with tape? Also, the link to your website says "double-sided tape or Betalink glue, not included". Which is correct? |

Also want to know if there are still issues with fitting/lifting corners... I am very keen to buy one of these but need complete peice of mind before going ahead as I'm in the UK and it's still a lot of money just for a punt!

Apply the tape properly and the corners shouldn't lift. I doubly taped the edges and sides so that lifting wouldn't occur. I dunno how they laid out the 'pre-installed' doublesided taping, but i hope it goes along both sides of the inner contours as well as the tip edges to ensure maximum hold

I would be interested in seeing the replica side-to-side with the OEM.

the biggest difference is the aftermarket spoilers' tips stick up a bit so you need a little more extra tape on the sides to get it to fit properly. Besides that, it's pretty much an identical match in terms of fit/finish. Hope this helps Last edited by SV Concepts II; 12-28-2009 at 03:16 PM.. |

Can you tell me if this is the same thing that you are talking about on yours. As you can see in the picture the very end has no problem sitting flush its jsut it bubles up where the quarter is on both sides.
