My New 135i Le Mans Blue with new E86 wheels
Here is my new 135i. I just rolled over 1000 miles this weekend and thought I'd post some pictures. If I mess it up sorry, first time posting pics here. I have the M3 sways, strut rods, etc but not installed yet.
I thought the wheel pics might help those interested in a factory alternative. These are style 203 wheels from a Z4 Coupe with factory performance package. I like them as they look larger than 18" the way they are styled. E46, E85, and E86 wheels will fit like this if you like a different style. The wheels are 18" x 8" up front and are running 235/40 18 and the rear are 18" x 8.5" running 255/35 18. The rears have an extra 2mm offset and fronts do too plus an extra .5" width. They fit under the fenders and do not rub. I choose the Hankook V12 evo tires as they are excellent for the weather in Florida. Great in the rain, very quiet, reasonable wear, and crazy grip. In Car and Driver they came in second at bettering PS2s after the Dunlop Star Spec, which is a better track tire but not street tire in my opinion. I am thrilled with the car and loved the performance delivery. I hope the wheel info helps others with similar ideas. Even those considering the new style 269 wheels could get the E46/E85 fitment to use more offset and front rim width. |

Well, not feeling the wheels. I think gunmetal CSLs are perfect with Le Mans.

I like these a lot actually, I was thinking of doing the same style for my 1er, although I like the msport wheels too, let me know if you're interested in selling those

Yes, Z4 wheels fit just like mine in the picture. I got mine new but if you found a nice used set you could save $.
Thanks for the complements guys. I know dark wheels are all the rage now and I like those too, but being 50 bright silver wheels are what I am used to. |

Good to know we have options with factory Z4 offsets/widths.
I have to disagree with you about the wheels looking larger than 18". In fact, the larger spokes make the wheels look smaller to me. I do give you props for trying something new though. |

I've always liked those wheels on the Z4 and they look very nice on you're 135i too!

nice looking car, although those wheels completely soften the car up and tone down the aggressiveness of it

Light alloy rim81/2JX18 ET:5036116771162$554.94 There are lots of E86 wheels that all have the same offsets. Last edited by Lester; 08-24-2009 at 06:48 AM.. |

the offsets give away that they will fit, I am curious as to how the ellipsoid styling 107 would look on the 1er as it has the more sculpted look that may match the 1s sharp lines
