just get the smaller 355 iirc and matching rears they will provide all the STOP you will ever need. and you wont have any clearance issues now or into the future

Indeed in a new thread. Back to Nashin talk here.

I definitely understand your hesitation to go with the same company though.
I also thought the Racing Brake SS piston rebuild kit may be the way to go. Having experienced their lack of quality and lack of support however, there's no way they'll see any more of my money. I'd buy new calipers before I'd buy their rebuild kit.

Perhaps I should've gone the Nashin route instead...
Hey Tim,

I know the pain and frustration of a mod gone wrong, as my HPF Stage 2 "Feramic" face clutch upgrade that according to Chris@HPF was virtually unweldable, in actual fact welded to the flywheel on 2 separate occasions with relative ease.

If you are still considering a Nashin BBK upgrade, I will hook you up with the same kit forum member "135" purchased, for April promo pricing even though the promotion has finished.

Cheers,

Justin.

Hey mate,

based on the thorough testing performed by "135" in his quest to go BIG, I would have to say no. However the only way to be sure is to check clearance with a caliper fitment template. Shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send the appropriate 370 mm/N5 template your way.

Yeah, I tend to agree. As much as the larger 370/380 mm front rotors will provide additional brake torque, the 355 mm/N5 (6 piston) front is still a very formidable combo and guaranteed 18" wheel fitment means your track day tyre options are vastly improved.

Hey skidz, have you been back to the track since your last outing on R888's?

If so how hard did you beat on those Nashin's and are you able to provide any further feedback, for those guys that still feel dubious about purchasing a Chinese copy, ooops I mean Taiwanese BBK.

haha yeh went to wakefield a couple of weeks ago and am planning on going on the 6/6. the Nashins hold up very well with little to no brake fade all day long. so i'd happily recommend the nashins to anyone. not that I am a tight arse or anything but paying double for the name brands is just nuts imho.

Do you know if any of these Nashins would fit an e89 35is? Just interested in the front calipers and rotors?

Hey Alex,

Nashin do in fact have a BBK suitable for your Z4.

Please shoot Peter@Advan a PM and he'll be able to price up a front only kit for you.

Cheers,

Justin.

Hi Guys, Just a quick question, has anyone succesfully managed to find an 18inch wheel that the 380mm Package will fit under ? Peter/Justin/Stuart ? maybe APEX ?

The APEX EC-7 is supposed to have a larger barrel clearance to suit up to a 380mm BBK but all BBKs are different - it's the caliper profile that determines whether or not a BBK will fit a particular wheel (even if it has a larger barrel clearance). Check my post above - it's the only way that you'll know for sure. But that means buying the wheel or knowing someone that does and the only local 135i with APEX wheels that I know of is PeteA (this is his build thread) but he has ARC-8 wheels. You could create a new thread to find someone that does have APEX EC-7 wheels and ask them to test fit the template for you.

Gumball had 18" EC-7 wheels on his car before he sold it. I'm not too sure who currently owns it though and whether or not they are on this forum.

Hi Justin.
Could you post or PM pricing details you can offer on a Nashin 355mm front end setup? Both N & G series please.
Does the G series have a removable bridge?
Thanks mate.

Your best bet is going to be to call Pete at the workshop, he isn't on the forums all the time.
