I wouldnt worry about it...all engine oils are designed to be compatible with each other...think about it: when you change your oil there is always a little bit left in the engine.

I am not due for oil change until August 2009. I just brought my car in the shop to a tire replacement due to flat tired. I ask SA to do an oil change for me. They said I am too early (12600 miles so far). So I took my car home and only find out one day later that I am low on oil. They could of told me I am low on oil.. and i don't mind buying the right kind of sythetic oil from them... but I guess these technicians didn't catch it either.
I just read it in another forum that if I didn't add the sythetic oil (approved oil), it will void my warranty. But why? if it didn't damage my engine? and how would they know if I didn't add the sythetic oil. Do they run a test on my oil when they do oil change? http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223554 thanks again for your replies |

Yeah, I did get a warming light after I left the dealership (the next day). I have no time to go back for the service so I just brought my own motor oil and put it in.
I don't know if they will top if off for me for free. I'll go ask next time when I do my oil change. |
