Back to the wheels, will it greatly affect ride quality putting the 18" wheels on? Or is it a negligible difference over the 17"?

Everyone who sees the car always comment on how beautiful the colour is. I love how the creases create shadows in different light. Easy to keep clean too Quote:
I actually had a 3 Neo! And yes it was a huge jump to the 1, work has been going well It was a great little car but was no Beamy. I use to take my foot of the accelerator when going around corners while the 1 begs me to put my foot down hehe

I haven't tested the 17" so can't compare sorry. I think the run flats and stiff sports suspension impacts the ride more that the diameter? Maybe someone else has tested both...

I'd recommend sticking with the 17" wheels, mainly because sports suspension is stiff enough as is. 17" 125i sports suspension wheels are a lot more rare than the 261's and you win on tyre cost as well.
18" 261's look hot though!

spacegrey, welcome and sorry to hear about your recent misadventures. i guess now it is really "broken in" and i would not fix the scratches until you decide to sell it - they don't make your car go any slower
I too have switched from a mazda 3 and yet to regret the extra money spent. Fantastic car, great value, congratulations!
