Myself and the other 20 odd members in Australia that bought this had no trouble installing it. It's completely plug and play, it hooks up to the OBII. Also you're the first person that I've come across that thinks it looks aftermarket. Myself and others included bought it because it looks OEM |

P3 gauge is great, shits on the steering wheel IMO.

In reality the active members on this forum only represent a percentage of the entire audience that browse this forum. I have personally come across a few 135i owners on the street that admit to reading but not actively participating (I'm not sure why). So I get a bit annoyed when I come across misleading posts or misinformation being spread with zero firsthand experience on that particular mod. FYI, there is the boost vacuum line that needs to be routed into the engine bay and the other cable which hooks up to the OBII. Very simple. I couldn't have said it any better Kenny Every person that actually bought the P3 gauge has given me positive feedback thus far, and not just positive - but exceeded their expectations |

Even if the installation was challenging, it's a worthwhile mod. I'm sure others that have the gauge will chime in sooner or later |

Yeah the 2 left LCI will be a problem, not a worry though since I will be coming to Sydney late Feb, might just go take a right LCI taillight from a new shiny 1M VO.... I'll leave the spare left on the 1M though! |

Once again, just getting someone to do the canbus install. (plus it cost twice as much)

1. I mainly use it to monitor my boost levels by allowing you to read peak boost. However, the gauge is also clever enough to record 15 second real time data logs on the fly and then play them back. This is perfect for drags. 2. I also use it to monitor my water temp, which IMHO is equally as important as oil temp. Water temp should really be standard on this car! 3. If you ever throw a CODE the boost gauge will display it when you start the car. This has saved me a couple of times. Once my engine oil level was low and the gauge notified me immediately. It also appeared in idrive but only if you searched for it under Vehicle Status - which honestly, I don't do very often. This feature also comes in handy if you're modded for tuner related codes 4. The gauge also allows you to delete codes at the press of a button. Doesn't get much easier than that. 5. The 0-100km/hr is handy for anyone practicing launches. 6. The gauge also tells me the 'real speed', instead of what my speedo tells me. For me, numbers 1-4 alone make this mod very worthwhile. Plus I like the design of it. Everyone that I have shown it to thus far does not realise it's aftermarket. |
