FWIW, as of today (3,660 miles) my exact total fuel economy is 17.89MPG (mostly city)

I save all gas receipts and record the car's mileage on each one then type the info into a spreadsheet.

Since taking delivery of the car.. I've averaged 17.89 MPG overall.

Most of my driving is in the city. I don't modify my driving habits to save gas.. so I'm happy with it. I also usually run the car for several minutes while sitting in the parking lot at work, to finish my coffee before going in. If I take the cup in I usually forget to carry it back out.

BTW, I averaged 27-28mpg on one of my few all-highway trips (about 90-100 miles)

Don't forget the various 3D bar and pie charts you'd make too.

The sitting in your car for a few minutes before work is prob whats dragging down your milage. But if you dont care then no biggie.

My mileage to date (1,700 miles) is 21.5 mpg. My driving is mostly on the expressway, but includes some in-town as well. I do try to watch the way I drive to conserve gas. I only jump on it occasionally, but the car is so powerful I really don't need to very often (except just for fun) in ordinary driving. BTW the above mileage is with the manual trans. and not using cruise control.

Im around 2700 myself and averaging 23.8 mpg overall.

Drove GINA today for ~200 miles boston to brattleboro vt back to boston (so no uphill downhill malarky). Mixed highway and country roads. Had my girlfriend and all of her $%^ in the car as well.

Averaged 28 mpg (ticked down to 27.6 when i restarted the motor for the picture).

Driven carefully, the car returns great mileage (2 mpg less than my A3 did) and is still a blast to drive. No comparison between these two in the city im afraid!
