Are those 17s? For some reason they look small to me.

No, they are 18s, just the way they look in a crappy cell phone pic.

Those look great! The CSL style rims are very classic for this car. And the gray goes great with the LMB paint. Congrats!

Thats the best color in 135i, I like the wheels, what tires did you go with and how wide in the rear.

You're going to love them, they look even better in person.

Correct, I was going to lower it, but didn't want to chance it since I wanted to be able to run the 255s without worrying about any rubbing.

The wheels are stock specs? 18 x 7.5 front, 18 x 8.5 rear? If so, I had my car with Breytons in the same size, with the same hankook tires in your sizes (225 front, 255 rear), and lowered my car moderately (about an inch) with no problems whatsoever.

For some reason, it seems like 2011's and 12's sit higher than earlier models. My 08 looks quite a bit lower than the 11-12's I see and mine sits on stock sport suspension...

Anyway, the wheels look nice. I'll probably pull the trigger on some new wheels this summer. Just not sure which ones yet.

8.5 and 9.5 - it looks like I might be able to pull it off, and I do have the springs in the garage...

I had silver CSL reps (not VBR's) before, then went gun metal - exactly the same shade as yours - and as much as I like it there were 2 drawbacks I immediately noticed: 1. the rims look smaller (as they don't grab your attention as much), and 2. the gaps between tyre and fenders seem greater (probably because ones focus is taken again off the rims and more towards the body of the car). I'm wanting to close that gap, opting for a new set of rims more within stock offsets as 9"-9.5" ET38+ @ rear one simply cannot unless you take things further than I'd like to with fender rolling, camber etc.

However even though silver doesn't suffer from these drawbacks (all personal OFC), they are just too bling. Ultimately I'd like a rim in a light grey - problem solved - can go custom but colour matching then is tricky if requiring refusrbishment.

Your ride looks great. Didn't mean to hijack your thread, just sharing my experiences with the gunmetal
