100% yes.

It is not that VO is ugly, it just one of those colors that is nice to see in the showroom. Not everyday going to drive your own car.

Black is a no go, it hides all the body lines.

I am sure the chase car isn't a M3. Looks like that guy also have/had a skyline in the past.

UK roads are so demanding! i drove to france in summer and did 14hours with not so much as an itch....... I can't go longer than two hours without getting back ache in england cause your constantly changing gear and breaking! and if you think thats narrow hit some country roads in Norfolk! Theres less than five miles of dual carriageway in the whole of Lincolnshire.... and thats the biggest county! (state for you yanks)

That's where I'm at too. Love VO, but not in my garage every day for the next three years. Black looks mean but is a bitch to keep that way and doesn't show off the lines . . . so it's white.

My M3 definitely doesn't sound anything like that V8!

Bad to hear about the roads, but the area around Keynes was definitely gorgeous (but now I know why). What I found very funny was that the speed cameras were painted neon yellow, even on the backside. So it was easy to spot them even on the opposite side of the road. That's completely different to Switzerland, where authorities are allowed to hide speed cameras.

But besides the tricky right hand steering I enjoyed it very much driving over there! At an approaching roundabout there are so many signs on the side and the road that it almost felt like a race track

I am starting to think that too... colour is such a pain. Looks pretty good from behind, but I am sure it will look better in the driver's seat.

I'm sticking to my guns for VO.

I don't see myself getting tired of having a visually loud car.

Besides isn't it a little early to judge? Everyone who has seen VO in person said it's very nice and that the cameras are unable to do it justice.

Right. All M3 owners beware the 1M.

clearly it's an Audi S4 or RS4 based on dash, but I can't tell by the sound which it is. My guess it's an S4 V8 B7. I think RS4 would not allow the 1M to get away.

Overall though it's pretty funny to see an Audi chasing down a 1M - a guy clearly knows cars and doesn't limit himself to 4 rings. may be a journalist/new car spy ?

I wondered also who may have taken the video. The camera was conspicuously steady throughout.

2 of my closest friends have RS4s and I have run with both of them in my 135... If you search on this forum I may have threads about it.

Stock form running from 3rd gear it was tight, sometimes I would pull, sometimes we were pretty even (it was close, and they both had exhaust mods) With a JB3 its not even close... so 1m with 340HP should walk the RS4 (RS4s weigh like 3900 lbs).

As far as white, the only reason I dont want to switch from VO to white is because a polished white car just doesnt have that depth that the metallic VO will have.

Im surprised no one has really commented on how good the rear of the 1M looks.

I think it looks amazing! Wide and mean. Much better than what I had expected actually. Still glad I have gone for AW.
