Thanks for the replies, this is a great board.

I am going to hassle braman pretty good in the morning. We have had a total of 3 bmw's from them already. BMW of Naples called me and their offer was only $100 better then Vista. BMW of Ft Lauderdale said they could not even match vistas quote.

I am not in a huge rush since my lease ends June 4th, However, I am trying to get out of my lease early before the next payment is due (march 4th) and save $630 x 3. I am going to be out of town for a bit so I do not need a car for the time being.

Also, what are the chances of BMW extending the 2 payment promotion because if I custom order a car it will arrive after march 31st.

Chances are unknown, since no one knows what BMW will offer next.. Economy is still pretty bad and sales are suffering, so do expect some sort of a deal..
BMW went from .9 on most models (1st on 2008s, then 2009s as well), to 0.9 - 3.9 and 2 months payments...

We found another car with the exact same specs plus ipod adapter and heated seats. He will do that car for the same price. I now think the deal is pretty good considering those are $900 in extra options. What is your opinion? I can have the car next week and turn in my lease 3 payments early.

I think that you are paying too much. In your case and the market like this, you should be able to talke the price down to "Invoice + $500 + $doc fee". Do not pay any additional fee like "training", "MACCO" and "Dealer Pre" fees and let the dealer screw you like this.

If the car is showing at port in S.C., how long do you think it will take to get to south FL?

If you are even thinking about paying for those additional costs you need to educate yourself on buying a new car. I only paid Tax, Title&Doc fees over the agreed price. The dealer threw in the mats and a tank of gas. There is an old thread on this forum that that explains how to get bids on a car.

There is only one BMW dealer within my area. When they don’t want to sell me a car at my price I get bids from other dealers. On my Z4, I went to Oregon and paid $5k less than the local dealer would sell me the car for. When I went to order the 135i I told the local BMW dealer straight out I would get bids on the car and they made the deal happen.

I would think with the state of the economy you could get a smoking deal on a new 135i.

Good luck!

Maco/Training Fees are common place in the BMW world and often unavoidable, but great if you can. The Training Fee is even on the official BMW invoice pricing sheets. MACO is the marketing co op fee that the dealer pays BMW (get out of it if you can). These are BMW based fees, not made up by the dealer like 'Dealer Prep' is (obsurd to ever pay that).

Training is definitely paid, MACO depends on your dealer and dealer prep shouldnt ever be paid....gas/floormats goes without saying.

It's a done deal

They took back my 330i today. I think overall the deal was good since I got a car $900 more in options for the same price. Plus I just saved myself $2,734 in payments over the next 5 months.

I should have my 135i next week.

Make sure you shop around and don't let them charge you the extras! I think the margin is fair game, and a moderate delivery fee is acceptable. After all, the mark up is for stocking the car and the delivery fee is for the checks and car wash (a very expensive one).

The only fee I don't go apes*** over is the advertising fee. On my 135i, the only thing I paid was $300 for dealer training, and that was clearly indicated on the invoice. Other than that, $10 for doc, $139 for new title and reg, $10 tire tax, plus state taxes. Believe me when I say... if any dealer tries to charge me for fuel, i'm walking right out. I'm all for salespeople making money, but don't justify your overhead by charging crazy fees.

Go to Braman Of Miami, ask for Jose Diaz. Tell him you were referred by MH (my initials) who traded in the Black/black 325Xi for the 2008 AW/Terracotta from October.

He will take care of you. If he doesn't give you a good deal, PM me on this site, and I will call him myself.

AND DO NOT (I REPEAT NOT) buy from BMW Ft. Lauderdale. You will end up being quite unhappy. WAY too many horror stories, especially with Service, let alone they are doing ONLY Mannheim on trade-in, and they have low 1Series inventory, etc etc etc.
